“Breathe & Release” in partnership with The Bodega Lounge & Laguardia Community College

At the CUNY Start Fall 2024 Mental Health & Wellness Conference, I led two 50-minute mindfulness sessions designed to help students manage academic stress and maintain balance. Through guided mindfulness practices, I provided tools for emotional regulation, self-compassion, and navigating the mental health challenges that often arise in high-pressure academic environments.

The Wellness Takeover Networking Event & Panel

As part of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, I co-led a powerful panel that addressed the stigma surrounding men’s mental health. We explored the impact of trauma, toxic masculinity, emotional vulnerability, and the importance of fathers as nurturers and active parental figures.

Black Men Cry Too Podcast Feature

As a guest on the Black Men Cry Too podcast, I discussed integrating alternative healing practices in therapy. We explored how tools like art, breathwork, and movement can enhance the therapeutic process, and addressed the stigma around using cannabis and psychedelics for intentional healing. We also shared advice for new therapists passionate about incorporating holistic approaches into their work.
