Integration Prompts

These prompts are an invitation to stay in the work a little longer. Writing tends to surface things that thinking keeps buried. Take your time.

1. What does activation feel like in your specific body? Where does it live? What's the first signal before it becomes full activation?

2. What story did your mind tell you about what happened? And when you look at that story honestly, whose fear is speaking in it?

3. Was there a shame layer underneath the activation? What did the self-critical voice say? Do you recognize where it came from?

4. Which pattern felt most familiar? What would you add or change about how it was described?

5.  Think about the relationship context this happened in. What about that person or dynamic felt familiar and reminded you of past pain? What were you actually needing from them?

6. Think of the youngest version of yourself who felt this same feeling of activation. What was happening for them? What did they need that they didn't get? What would you want to say to them now?

7. What would it mean to trust yourself enough to wait to let your settled self respond instead of your defended self?
